New parents have a lot to manage: recovering from the birth, learning how to keep this tiny new human fed, clean, and happy, doing their best to get some rest when they can, and trying to keep the household running.

Postpartum doulas are trained in supporting families in the transition to new parenthood. Our doulas help parents with:

  • Education: How do you bathe a tiny, slippery, wriggling baby anyway? When should I be feeding the baby? What do I do about my sore nipples? How do I get this baby to sleep during the night instead of wanting to party at 3am?

  • Emotional support: we can talk all about your birth story and process the intensity of what just happened. Doulas are also great at spotting tougher emotional struggles such as postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety, and can refer new parents to specialists

  • Logistics: we help you keep the house afloat by tidying, doing laundry, prepping meals/snacks, caring for pets, spending time with older siblings, and more

Gifting postpartum doula services is one of the best ways you can support a new family!

How much to gift

Our doulas work in shifts of 4 hours during the day at 8-10 hours overnight.

We recommend that new parents receive a minimum of 20 hours of daytime postpartum doula support and/or 40 hours of overnight support, but you’re welcome to get in touch with us if you’d like to gift a different amount.

POSTPARTUM DOULA RATES

RATES FOR FAMILIES WITH SINGLETON BABIES:

  • $42/hr for daytime shifts

  • $47/hr for overnight shifts

RATES FOR FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLES (TWINS, TRIPLETS, ETC):

  • $47/hr for daytime shifts

  • $52/hr for overnight shifts
